August 5, 2026 update
Staff reported interim repairs were complete and long-term repairs would include relocating pipelines away from erosion-prone areas, with community and regulatory-agency feedback being gathered.

Staff presented the proposed restoration design, including 10 step pools over 225 feet, 25 post-assisted log structures, utility relocations, construction access and trail-closure plans, and a proposed 10-year monitoring program. The Commission recommended City Council approval.

An alternatives evaluation is anticipated in May 2025 to determine whether to relocate utilities and conduct a smaller creek restoration or retain crossings and undertake a larger stabilization project. Permitting and CEQA review are scheduled for completion in May 2026; construction bidding is planned from March through September 2026.
