October 28, 2025: Commission discussion on restarting or reframing the BCCP
Staff reported that the plan requires updates following delays, changed conditions, and the City’s 2022 sea-level vulnerability assessment. Staff proposed re-engaging AECOM to revise the plan, returning it to the Commission, completing CEQA, and seeking City Council adoption by winter 2027; ad hoc members urged consideration of reframing the work as a historical report or developing a new, more current plan.
