  1. September 23, 2024 update

    Council members reported that electrified Caltrain service launched during the preceding weekend and that approximately 8,000 people attended a related event at the Palo Alto Intermodal Center.

  2. September 16, 2024 electrified-service launch update

    Presenters reported 100% electric service from San Francisco to San Jose, increased service at Palo Alto and California Avenue stations, and free Caltrain rides during the September 21–22 launch weekend. Caltrain reported 104 trains in service, 20% more service capability from electric trains, and no current expansion beyond that level pending ridership recovery.
