Car Free Ramona Street Project

A sustained initiative to make Ramona Street car-free.

Current status
Temporary vehicular closures have been in place since June 2020; Council directed staff in November 2023 to take actions toward permanent closure.

  1. February 12, 2025: Commission recommendation on permanent closures

    The Commission recommended Council consideration of permanent closures, Comprehensive Plan street classifications, and allowed-use provisions. Staff identified future phased street improvements and outdoor-activation standards contingent on Council approval.
