Ongoing; staff stated there is little flexibility to defer replacement work because targeted PVC pipeline is beyond useful life and targeted steel pipeline has recurring leaks.

    Crews had installed almost 10,000 linear feet of main and about 220 gas services in the primary residential area.

    Staff said GMR 25 is tied to grant funding and had an original $10 million budget; it covers more than 26,000 feet of main and was described as totaling $16.5 million with construction, staff, backfill, and leak-survey equipment costs. Staff said the original GMR 25 budget was split between GMR 26 and GMR 27. Typical $10 million GMR work replaces about 19,000 to 20,000 feet of main.
