    County staff said a grand opening was expected May 8, 2026, and identified the site among projects supported through $68 million in county investment.

    Planning staff stated that 50% of units will serve special-needs households. Staff explained that these units were excluded from the report’s permanent supportive housing category because that HUD-linked category is for chronically unhoused people qualifying through coordinated entry; homelessness is not an eligibility requirement for the Mitchell Park Place special-needs units.
